Thad Keim - Bass Guitar
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay area, Thad started playing lead guitar in bands in junior high and high school.
“I grew up in an environment where a lot of my friends were in bands so the climate was always very competitive as to who could cover which songs and who would get which gigs.” Back then Thad was playing with a punk band (ala the Clash) called the Clampdown and another band called The Elements that played mainly new wave/modern rock.
In college (San Diego State University) Thad played with a rock and roll/dance band called Life In General that played at fraternity and college parties. After getting booked in Aspen, CO to perform at a series of parties the band met up with a singer/guitarist from England (who eventually joined the band) and after changing their name to The Trip Toys, toured the West United States for four years and recorded a self-released CD before disbanding.
After relocating to Nashville for opportunities on the record company side-of-the-fence, Thad joined the Whiskey Trippers as bass guitarists.
